Coronavirus
We will be opening subject to the conditions below and all government guidance. Please read and ensure every member of your party has read this.
We believe our large and spacious site can provide a safe place for guests to enjoy the outside world, however to keep everyone safe, things will be a little different to usual and we will implement whatever government guidelines are current, in order to keep everyone as safe as possible.
Please assess the health and check the temperature of everyone in your group before leaving home. If any member of your group is unwell please do not travel and inform us that you will not be coming. If anyone in your party becomes ill with a high temperature, persistent cough or other symptoms of Covid19 whilst on holiday the advice is that the individual/group should return home immediately if well enough to travel and should seek medical assistance if necessary from their usual source. If unwell, public transport should not be used. Please inform us by telephone/email if you have to leave and why.
Guests must pre book. Please do not arrive on site without contacting us first.
Contactless check in -We will contact you before your stay for you to pay your balance by electronic means. When you arrive on site please telephone us for instructions if it is not obvious from signage what you should do. Arrivals will be strictly between 2pm and 7pm. Reception will be manned however when you arrive on site you will not physically enter the reception building. We will conduct your check- in either outside, socially distanced or from a window/doorway in reception.
Please wear a face covering when using the facilities block. Usual government exceptions apply.
The facilities block will be open but with reduced capacity and a 2 metre spaced queuing system will operate. There will be closures for cleaning. Visits to the facilities block, water points and any other touch points must be kept to a minimum. Do everything you can at your unit. Children must be supervised at all times.
In order to reduce pressure on the facilities and reduce queuing times we ask that all guests with onboard facilities should use their own as much as possible.
All guests should bring a water carrier, bowl for washing-up, a bowl for hand washing at their unit, soap and hand sanitizer. Please bring your own supply of wipes if you wish to clean anything before use but please put them in the bins provided and not down the toilet when using on toilets etc. to prevent the septic tank and drains becoming blocked.
We recommend you bring a porta potty (or equivalent). Campers without their own in-built facilities will be able to erect a small toilet tent on their pitch if required at no charge.
The facilities block, will be subject to additional deep cleans and this will involve full closures at pre notified times. Between deep cleans, partial closures of areas of the facilities will occur, to enable us to clean. Doors and windows to the block and different areas will be kept open to keep air flow to a maximum. Please leave doors open between areas and when exiting a toilet or shower.
Guests will be required to wash their hands/use sanitizer before entering the facilities block and should wash them again as they are leaving. Please observe the signage and social distancing when using the block. Children under 12 MUST be accompanied by an adult when using the facilities. Touch as few points as possible whilst in the block. Each shower will have its own squeegee. Please clean the floor after use then wash your hands again before exiting the shower, leaving the door open.
To help prevent spread of infection, please clean your teeth at your unit NOT in the sinks and showers.
Should the facilities be at social capacity there will be a need to queue externally. Please ensure you have appropriate clothing should the weather be inclement.
Please be considerate of other campers’ needs to access facilities and keep your dwell time to a minimum.
Due to the risk of cross contamination the communal freezer will not be available for freezing ice packs however, there will be alternative arrangements for sourcing frozen ice packs from the reception.
The laundry will be open but restrictions will be in place including hand washing before and after use of the machines and external queuing as necessary.
Please wash your hands before using water points. No hand washing at drinking water points will be allowed. If wearing reusable gloves, please ensure they are clean ie. wash your hands whilst wearing them otherwise they are a greater reserve of contamination to others than unwashed hands.
The density of our pitches on site is very low (60 pitches in nearly 7 acres), however to aid social distancing, particularly near corners, some pitches have been moved from their usual positions and cut throughs will be blocked off.
To preserve social distancing on site and in the facilities, campers will not be able to have any day visitors to the site. Please arrange to meet your friends and family off site.
We are aware that a number of family groups and groups of friends come stay on the site. Please follow social distancing rules. Do not enter other people’s units unless the rules allow you to do so. Please maintain appropriate social distancing. Please protect yourself and other campers by respecting these rules.
Charcoal / gas barbeques will be permissible however due to the increased fire risk we will not be able to allow the use of fire baskets this year.
All working together will keep us at our safest!
