About Us

Our history

The Mitchell family of Trevellas Manor Farm have been welcoming campers to their campsite since 1927. It was opened by Meta and Monty Mitchell to diversify their farm and is one of the oldest campsites in Cornwall.

Meta and Monty passed the running of the farm and campsite to Monty's nephew, George, and wife, Betty, in 1956. George and Betty ran the farm with their son and daughter-in-law, Cliff and Cathy, until 1991 and the campsite until 2009. Cliff and Cathy continued to run the campsite until 2020 when they passed it on to their son, Philip, who, as a child, enjoyed helping his grandad run the campsite. He is the 8th generation to work on the farm.

Family run since 1927

We continue to operate as a family run campsite and you will often see Cliff, Cathy, Philip's wife, Rachel, and son, Joey, around the site to welcome campers. We are commited to ensuring you enjoy your stay with us and we or our staff are always on hand should you need us.
