Terms & Conditions
On arrival, all campers should pull into the field clear of the entrance then go to reception to check in.
All campers must check in before occupying a pitch. We will then show you to your pitch.
Pitching in the wrong place may result in you being asked to move. Units must be placed so that occupants exit onto their own pitch or out into the field – not onto the neighbouring pitch.
For campers with large tents or other large units you must check with us that your tent etc.will fit onto a pitch at the time of booking and allow for space between yourselves and neighbouring pitches to comply with fire regulations.
Pitches are available from 2pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.
Arrivals should be before 7pm. We are an unlit site and do not allow pitching in the dark. If you are unavoidably delayed please contact us.
If you do not arrive and we have not heard from you within 24 hours of your expected arrival date, we reserve the right to re-let the pitch. Your payment will remain non-refundable and non-transferrable.
We try to have as few rules as possible but some are necessary for everyone’s safety and enjoyment of the site.
Dogs must remain on a lead at all times, except when in the designated off lead exercise area. Pets must not be left behind whilst their owners are away from the site.
Dogs should be exercised in the designated exercise area or off site – there are good dog walks accessible immediately from the site.
Turn right out of the site and follow the lane around the corner. We keep the verge mown either side of the lane and you can continue down the bridle path. For a longer walk, follow the bridle path beside the stream all the way to the beach. Dogs can be off the lead on Trevellas beach.
The cliff path is only a 5 minute walk away.
If your dog has an accident on site please clean it up immediately. Do not allow your dog to foul other pitches.
People come to our site to take advantage of the peace and quiet. We ask that you are respectful of this and keep noise to a minimum, particularly between the hours of 10pm and 8 am.
Any person or group disturbing the enjoyment of the site by others may be asked to leave without a refund, so if you like listening to loud music at any time or partying through the night, this will not be the site for you.
Bookings and payments
Payment will be due in full at the time of booking for:
- Bookings of any duration, that commence within the next 14 days
- Short stays, at any time of 4 nights or less.
- The payment is non- refundable and non- transferable on cancellation.
A non-transferable, non-refundable deposit of £7.50/pitch/night is payable for all Low Season bookings and £10/pitch/night for High Season bookings for stays longer than 4 nights. (For stays less than 4 nights, payment will be in full – see above.)
For July, Low Season bookings, payment will be due prior to arrival, for the period booked.
For High Season bookings, the balance is due 28 days before arrival. Payment is non- refundable and non- transferable on cancellation.
No refunds are made for cancellations, bad weather or early departure from the site.
We are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event we are prevented from fulfilling your Booking as a result of circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events ("Force Majeure").
As a small business we are unable to act as your insurer. We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.
Bookings involving more than 1 pitch.
The normal deposit terms will apply, however the balance for the group will be due in full, 6 weeks prior to the stay. The person placing the booking is responsible for the payment for the group’s booking. The payments are non- refundable and non -transferrable between pitches on cancellation. Where adjacent pitches are required for a multiple pitch booking during peak or busy periods, the stay must be for 7 nights or longer. Where stays are for a shorter time it may not be possible to place you next to each other.
Length of stay. There will be a minimum bookable stay length of 3 nights during peak season.
Single night stays are available for the hiker pitch throughout the season. (Small 1-2 man tent – no vehicle).
Whilst we may take bookings for less than 3 nights during peak times these will depend on availability.
We will do our best to meet requests for specific pitches but cannot guarantee them and reserve the right to change the pitch if it is necessary. Pitch allocation for short stays during peak times will depend on availability.
To preserve social distancing on site and in the facilities, campers will not be able to have any day visitors to the site. Please arrange to meet your friends and family off site.
Vehicles to be driven at a maximum speed of 5 mph, in first gear at all times, whilst onsite. This helps ensure the safety of our guests and minimises the effect of traffic on the grass.
We aim to keep vehicle movement on site to a minimum so that our campers, young and old can enjoy the open space. Pedestrians and particularly children have right of way -at all times. We ask that you only drive your vehicle when arriving/returning to the site. No driving is permitted to or from the toilets/reception, or any time after dark. Please walk.
If you have a disability and require a pitch close to the facilities please let us know at the time of booking.
Only people holding a full licence may drive in the field. Learning to drive is not permitted.
One vehicle per pitch can be parked on the pitch (unless weather conditions prevent it, in which case alternative parking will be provided.) You may be asked to park additional vehicles away from the pitch. Visitors must not drive onto the site to visit you – please see notes on visitors.
When the ground is wet we may enforce a ‘no vehicle movement’ policy which means that once you take your vehicle off-site it will stay off-site until you decide to leave. We will show you where to park if this should happen.
Please ask taxis to pick you up and drop you off outside the site.
We do allow the responsible use of off ground gas and charcoal barbeques. Open fires are not permitted. Bricks are available to prevent damage to the turf and must be returned after use – please do not leave them in the field or hedge as they cause expensive damage to our mower! A bucket of water/sand or fire extinguisher should be available when barbeques are in use. Barbeques must never be used inside tents, awnings etc and should be left outside until entirely cold.
Please dispose of cold ash and disposable barbeques in the special bin provided. DO NOT THROW ASH or BBQ’s INTO THE HEDGE OR PUT ASH or BBQ’s INTO THE RUBBISH BINS. Burning the grass on the pitch could result in a fine of £20 or more.
Children must be supervised at all times on site. Please ensure they respect other campers’ privacy when playing.
We do not allow the use of generators on site.
Please do not tie/attach anything to our pitch marker posts or electric hook ups.
Please use breathable groundsheets.
We ask that you do not use carpets or any other extra floor covering in your tent/awning as these kill the grass beneath.
Charging of electric cars by arrangement with site owners only.
In compliance with the new GDPR regulations we hold your information to allow us to carry out our normal business. This information is for our own use and not shared with anyone with the exception of NHS Test and Trace during the coronavirus pandemic.
We hold only the information you have provided us with. If you wish your information not to be held then please let us know, but this would mean you would not be able to prebook a pitch.
